MediaCityUK is a destination in its own right, adding to the existing Salford Quays visitor offering. Atmosphere is central to the MediaCityUK ethos and that is why MediaCityUK’s key buildings are centred around a five-acre public piazza which gently shelves down to the canal side. Roughly twice the size of Trafalgar Square, this zone is split into two elements: The Stage a paved piazza directly in front of the studio building; and The Green a landscaped park containing a new tram terminus. The piazza has been designed to hold events for up to 6,000 people.
Our location here on The Quays, means we are a stones throw from The Lowry Arts Theatre, The Imperial War Museum North, Manchester United Football Club and Lancashire Cricket Ground.
If you’re looking for somewhere to grab a bite to eat or drink, then we have a range of establishments here at MediaCityUK as well as a Booths supermarket. You’ll also find a wide range of cafes and restaurants across The Quays - which cater for all budgets.
If you’re an avid shopper, the award winning Trafford Centre retail and leisure complex is only a 10 minute drive away. Chill Factore Real Snow Centre, Playgolf , Airkix and Powerleague Soccerdome are also on The Trafford Centre's doorstep.
